Wet Play Date

For some reason, this photo from today's play date....

reminded me of this...

Anyway, after the Keyser Soze lineup... everyone went to the Pool. Or Slip-and-Slide. Or Crocodile Mile. Or some sorta water contraption fun with 4 clueless infants who probably thought their diapers leaked. Here's some photos.

Boxers to your corners.

I love you, Daddy!

We spent a lovely Father's Day at Grandmom and Grandpa Heyert's house (also celebrating Grandpa Bob's and Grammy Claudia's birthdays) with almost everyone from both sides of the family in attendance. Abbie was her usual happy self surrouded by all of her relatives.

She even got a new cell phone from Grandpa Charlie! Although eating it may be more important than texting at this stage.
But what Abbie was most happy about was spending the day with her daddy.
Chuck is the best dad to Abbie - always attentive, always making her laugh, and always making sure she knows how much he loves her. I couldn't have asked for more in a father for her - We love you!

Lunch with Ella?

Talk about healthy appetites....
Even when there's no food, these two practice on toys.

Heartbeat Party

This week Abbie went with Mommy and Aunt Meg to the Heartbeat Dance Center's 20th anniversary. I think she was also secretly scouting out the competition for future dance solos.

Speaking of which -- if she inherits Uncle Brian's dance moves, we can probably start scalping front-row tickets for the 2013 recital to cover preschool costs.

Thank You Dinner

Sunday we invited both sets of Abbie's grandparents over for a thank you dinner for all the babysitting they do. It was a delicious meal and a lot of fun, and Abbie definitely enjoyed seeing all of her favorite people in one place at one time.

"Whoa, wait a minute. This is no M&M, Grammy. WTF?"

Somers Visit

Last Friday Abbie went up with Mommy & Daddy to visit Uncle Mike, Aunt Diane, and Matthew in Somers for the night. We had plenty of wine, a great dinner on their deck, and Matthew ensured that the group stayed busy with plenty of games/activities. Abbie loved the extra attention she received from the group and was in great spirits (as usual).

"Hey look! Aunt Diane lets me pinch her cheeks as hard as I want!"

"Haha... Daddy, can you believe Uncle Mike with
this shirt? And we thought the Mets were bad!"

Wine Festival

About a week ago, Abbie went to a NJ Wine & Blues festival with many of her favorite friends and family. Despite the projected weather forecast of a shady 75 and breezy, we got an 85 degree humid sauna.

Somehow Mommy didn't make any photos. I think it was because she stayed cool under all the wine tents, tasting every pinot grigio that NJ vineyards have to offer.

Meanwhile, Abbie chilled out with Daddy in her hat, staring aimlessly at all the drunk patrons (maybe they reminded her of her Aunts).
