Gymboree with Daddy

On Good Friday, Daddy had off from work so he went with Abbie and Mommy to their weekly slot at Gymboree..... where Daddy tried his best to awkwardly fit in, by singing songs, clapping his hands, and trying his best not to embarrass himself, his wife, or his daughter in front of the other kids & mothers (see exhibit A below).

Ella & Abbie

This weekend Ella and her parents came over for a visit. The two girls had a lot of fun playing together (although I think we need to teach Abbie something about "personal space" -- she was a little over-the-top with the hugs). But at least they genuinely interacted with each other for the first time, instead of just ignore each other in a room full of toys.

I guess we were all having fun, because unfortunately we didn't get a lot of good pictures. Just this weird exchange towards the end of the night....

"Hey Ella... dare me to down this OJ through my nose?? Ready... GO!"

"Pretty cool, huh Krista? You see those bubbles I made? Daddy taught me."

Coloring

Abbie's new hobby is coloring. She knows exactly where we hide the crayons and coloring book, and looks to break them out any chance she gets. She insists that someone else color along with her, and loves to announce each color aloud as she goes.

PS - Looks like we have a "righty" on our hands......... maybe those Heyert/Hare genes didn't carry down after all!

Day at the Arcade

On Monday, Daddy took off from work and we went to "Kid Junction" as a family. We never heard of it before, but its basically an indoor playground/arcade for kids. Here's some shots of little Danica Patrick on the Sponge Bob racing game.

When she turns 14, Daddy will be waiving palm branches at her while she sips lemonade on a hammock.
