Mommy's Birthday

On Saturday, we threw a small party for Mommy's 30th Birthday at Grandmom and Grandpa's house. Even though Abbie wasn't awake for the cake (or late-night dancing), she had a lot of fun throughout the day.

On Sunday, Abbie, Mommy & Daddy, went to the Sabellas' new house for a BBQ. She had a lot of fun lounging in their pool and playing on their swingset. She particularly enjoyed the pool... hint hint to a certain Grandpa who may have plenty of time on his hands and a lonely pool with no visitors (And while you're at it... go knock down that dogpen & build her a swingset too).

Vacation-3

Towards the end of the week Abbie checked out the Rehoboth boardwalk. A couple of times she woke up early and spent the morning walking with Grammy & Grandpa while Mommy and Daddy slept off the Yuengling and Pinot Grigio.

Here's some photos from another afternoon with M&D. We contemplated putting her on the carousel, but it was a bit too quick for her (even if she was on Daddy's lap). Maybe the carousel in Ocean City, NJ will be more her speed.

Vacation-2

During the week in Dewey, Abbie played with the dogs on the porch.

And Aunt Elizabeth taught her how to eat Cherrios by herself (but not too well).

"You sure I can do this by myself?"

"How come I don't taste anything? WTF, Aunt Bid."

"Really? On my face? Where?"

Vacation!

Abbie has been so busy lately that we haven't had a chance to blog about it. All last week she was enjoying her first of two summer beach vacations. This one was in Dewey Beach, Delaware, where she was catchin some rays and having fun with Mommy & Daddy, Grammy & Grandpa, Aunt Ali & Craig, and Aunt Bid.

Rather than blog it all at once, every day this week we'll post some of the great times she had last week. So here's the first of several vacation posts to fill you in on her adventures.

First of all, the best news of the vacation was that (for the most part)... Abbie loved the beach. She enjoyed playing in the sand with her hands and feet, she liked the waves on her toes, and she loved playing with all her new beach toys.

But just like Daddy & Grandpa... she had a limit on how much beach heat she could take at one time. So in between naps at the house, she also spent a lot of time under Grandpa's umbrella or her tent.
