A: No Daddy.
D: Yes.
A: No it ISN"T Daddy!
D: Yes it is.

Over breakfast... she notices a mail catalogue on the table.
A: Daddy, I want that mail.
D: No
A: But I WAAAAANT that.
D: (in his best Mick Jagger) "You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you just might find... you'll get what you need"
A: (pauses for two seconds) Daddy.... I NEEED that.

Snow!

"Hey Dad, I appreciate the carrot nose and all, but when I asked you to build me a snowman, I expected a little more effort than this."

First Trip to the Movie Theater!

On MLK Day, Daddy & Abbie had a date at the new "dine-in" movie theater to see Beauty and the Beast..... $36 dollars later, the two of us enjoyed the show (in 3D), while our waiter delivered our chicken fingers and fries right to our oversized leather recliners. Not bad for your first trip to a theater.

Needless to say, good times all around and she was really well behaved (I only needed to remind her to whisper 1 or 2 dozen times). She decided to boycott the 3D glasses toward the end, but here's the only photo I got during the previews....

Off to soccer practice....

Now on Saturday mornings Abbie has soccer practice. She's got a whole uniform and everything (wears number "2" just like Aunt Bid). Coach Kelly runs a tough practice -- it consists of a warm-up, stretching, footwork drills, and dribbling around cones. Abbie works up a pretty good sweat with the bubbles and parachute too.

World Cup 2031 here we come....

New Year's Pork Dinner?

Abbie had her first taste of ribs today (courtesy of Uncle Brian via Baileys Smokehouse) while we watched some bowl games. She thoroughly enjoyed them, and didn't even mind getting messy fingers. Actually, she didn't want to share much with Daddy. She also swears that bacon is on the menu next.... now that "she's older and older".
